Mason, OH – 21 October 2015 – Pratt Display won Gold at the 2015 Shopper Marketing Conference & Expo’s Design of the Times contest for the Energizer Eco-Advanced rolling rack entry.
The Design of the Times contest consists of two rounds of judging; hundreds of entries are evaluated based on answers to a series of questions regarding in-store activation, and from those finalists, winners are determined.
The Energizer Eco-Advanced rolling rack featured the world’s first AA battery made with 4% recycled batteries. Considered the most significant battery innovation of the past decade for Energizer, Pratt Display’s design group was tasked with creating a vehicle that would convey the same innovation and excitement in-store.
“We used a couple different tactics to draw the shopper in, a translucent-fluorescent acrylic neon green panel engineered to capture the in-store light to slightly illuminate the edges; an over-sized AA Eco-Advanced battery; and educational header graphics,” said Dave Connors, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Pratt Display.
Connors added, “Using our 100% recycled corrugated liners and mediums to manufacture the unit enhanced the sustainability messaging too – and we’re proud to have partnered with Energizer on it.”
